The fully silvered borosilicate glass inner flask is manufactured to a precise tolerance. All protective containers are fitted with a comfortable swing-over carrying handle, an insulated vented lid and a cushioned base.

All Vac-Seal dewars are suitable for storage of liquified gases and solid CO₂. However, not every model should be used for transportation purposes. Stainless steel cased dewars are equipped with clips on the lid, making them suitable for transportation; blue metal cased dewars are available with or without clips.
